Packed wedding dance floor under wooden beams and string lights with guests' hands in the air

September 2026 Recap: DJ and Mirror Booth Wedding

What a night. DJ Jason James had the music for this one and our Mirror Booth rounded out the package. By the end of the evening the floor was packed wall to wall.

The room

The reception was in a big hall with wood beams, string lights across the ceiling and a wall of windows. Rooms like this look beautiful at dinner and then go a bit flat once the sun is down, so the dance floor lighting does a lot of the work later in the night. A little colour on the walls and the floor changes the whole feel of the room once the party starts.

Where we put the Mirror Booth

We set the mirror up on the edge of the dining area, facing the room, with a pair of stanchions to give it a clear spot of its own. That placement matters. Guests can see the booth from their seats, they walk past it on the way to the dance floor, and a short line stays out of the way of the servers.

The mirror itself does a lot of the inviting. The welcome screen asks guests to touch to start, then walks them through the poses. For weddings we like a 4×6 print with three portrait photos, and every guest gets their photos by text or email as well.

Booking the two together

Pairing the DJ and the booth with one team makes the day simpler. We plan the timeline once, the booth runs while the DJ handles dinner and speeches, and both are ready the moment the dance floor opens. You can see how the mirror works on our Mirror Booth page and pick your print design from our template library.

Congratulations to the happy couple. If you’d like the same setup for your wedding, tell us your date and we’ll put it together.
