Presto Entertainment (“Presto,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to handling your personal information responsibly. We follow the British Columbia Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and other privacy laws that apply to our business. By using our website or our services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Information We Collect
We collect only the information we need to respond to you, plan and deliver your event, and run our business. This includes:
- Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, company or organization, event date, venue, guest count, the services you are interested in, and any details you share in a quote request, booking form, message, or conversation with us.
- Booking and payment information: the details needed to issue your contract and invoice. Payments are processed by trusted third-party providers; we do not store full credit card numbers on our systems.
- Information collected automatically: when you visit our website we may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you view, and how you arrived at our site, through cookies and analytics tools.
How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote, to plan and deliver the services you book, to process payments and keep business records, to communicate with you about your event, to improve our website and services, and to meet our legal and tax obligations. We only use your information for the purposes it was collected for, or for a purpose you would reasonably expect.
Cookies and Analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including web analytics, to understand how visitors use the site and to improve it. These tools may collect usage data in aggregate form. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as well if cookies are turned off. We may also use measurement tools provided by advertising and analytics platforms to understand the performance of our marketing.
Email and Text Messages
When you contact us or book with us, we may send you messages related to your enquiry or event. With your consent, we may also send occasional updates or promotions. We follow Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to stop sending marketing messages at any time. We will still send the messages needed to manage a booking you have made with us.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business and deliver your event, including with:
- Our performers, staff, and contractors who are assigned to your event, so they have the details they need to deliver your services.
- Trusted service providers who support our business, such as payment processing, invoicing, email delivery, website hosting, and analytics. These providers may only use your information to perform services for us.
- Third-party vendors where a service you booked is delivered in partnership with another supplier, limited to the information needed to coordinate your event.
- Authorities or others where we are required to by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Some of our service providers may store or process data outside of British Columbia or Canada. Where that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We take reasonable steps to work with providers that protect personal information.
Event Photos and Video
We may take photos or video of our setup and the atmosphere at events for our portfolio, website, and social media. We are mindful of guests’ privacy when we do. If you are a client and prefer that we not use images from your event, please tell us in writing before the event. If you appear in an image we have published and would like it removed, contact us using the details below and we will address your request.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to maintain our business and event records, and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or anonymize it.
How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable physical, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Privacy Rights
Under British Columbia’s PIPA, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask for a copy of it, to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, and to withdraw your consent to certain uses (subject to legal or contractual limits). To make any of these requests, contact our Privacy Officer using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time required by law.
